Wednesday: The Vlog Edition . . . Burn Baby burn

Wednesday, April 6, 2011
If Mohammad won't come to the mountain . . . The snowbanks aren't going anywhere, so Andy proposed we have a bonfire on Friday evening to dispose of some of the brush he's cut during the winter months around the cabin and some of the snowbank. While this was a perfectly honorable task, things got out of hand quickly and yet another "you know you're a redneck when . . ." post was born.

What did Andy say at the end of that video? He said "This is really going to woof." You'll see what he means. . . .

I apologize for the poor video quality. This videographer was a little too close to the burn pile.

But all's well that ends well. Right? Right?

(Please don't repeat this at home. In fact, I would prefer not to have this repeated at my home either.)

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog! It's nice to 'meet' a fellow Minnesotan!

Your fire pics/video remind me of weekends up at my parents cabin in the Alexandria area. We are always burning piles of stuff, it seems!

  7. haha this is a great vlog! I had to show my husband, as he has had a pile in the backyard he's been dying to burn all winter. His bonfires looked much the same last spring. He thought this video was awesome! One question: Where's the marshmallows?!

  9. L O L - this is a lot like the South...with more snow.

I burned off some of my eyelashes & part of my left eyebrow because my girlfriends were too scared to light a gas grill with a match. (the igniter was broken) Obviously, I ain't skeered. I was a bridesmaid a week later. Eyelashes do not grow back quickly. F Y I

found you through Sunday Funday - and what a great introduction

  10. Ok, when he said he was to light it excitedly I probably would have started moving back at that point. :) Your husband is a lot like mine. I love the pic of you at the end though.
