I mean, remember when it looked like this?
Granted, the above picture of the raised bed isn't really the best portrait of how far the little garden has progressed. For one thing, we've picked all the kohlrabi and all but one of the cabbages. Also, all the onions died. I have no idea why.
But just because the onions decided they didn't like the little patch of earth I'd provided for them, that doesn't mean the other seedlings didn't take a liking to our pots and raised beds. Just take a look at these tomatoes.
Your loss, onions, your loss.
Love the color of that zinnia. Your tomatoes look really good! I have never been able to get good ones growing in pots. Yours look healthy in theirs, must be the fresh air, sun and being lakeside!
ReplyDeleteWow, quite the harvest! Bummer about the onions. Our veggie garden didn't do too well this year. My DH forgot to spray them, and the dear had a feast. Ugh! Oh well, next year. We have a raised bed just like that one.
ReplyDeleteYour tomatoes look great. Mine didn't do so well this year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Such a beautiful harvest! Our onions gave out on us too, those jerks.
ReplyDeleteWow, lots of harvest.

How beautiful! We haven't had nearly the same luck with our garden this year. Oh, well, there's always next year. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful... and the Zinnia??? GORGEOUS...

wow- exceptional produce! The flowers look great too, but I'm mainly impressed by your food growing skills :)
ReplyDeleteYUM!! Your zinnia is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful garden. One thing I've learned about gardening over the years is that you can never predict what will do well and what will flop...I'd much rather have lucious ripe tomoatoes than onions any day...altho onions do have their place, just evidently not in your raised beds this year...lol
ReplyDeleteLove that first flower picture - how beautiful! It's great to see how things grow, something about getting back to nature :)
ReplyDeletethose tomatoes look delish! Congats on the great yield this summer :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Ada! Your tomatoes look wonderful. Mine didn't do as well this year as they usually do. But I'm still getting enough to freeze. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous garden! You've done an amazing job with it!
ReplyDeleteCannot WAIT to have a garden. Seriously.
ReplyDeletenice Ada--and lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it is already September.... where did the summer go? Hopefully one of these years I will have space for a garden!
